New drone has no pilot anywhere, so who’s accountable? The Navy is testing an autonomous plane that will land on an aircraft carrier. The prospect of heavily armed aircraft screaming through the skies without direct human control is unnerving to many.

Stuff like this reminds me how much my whimsintellectual nature puts me out of touch with the rest of the world. Like….who the fuck even thinks this is okay? Everybody? Is everybody cool with this drone thing? Because I’ve already heard reports of how they are causing death, injury, and psychological damage to civilians. Is it okay because the civilians are POC in poorer countries? Someone needs to explain to me why this is okay.
